We connect homeowners with independent, local general contractors for renovation and construction projects in Prince Edward County, Ontario. We are not a licensed contractor and do not perform the services advertised on this site. All work is delivered by independent third-party contractors.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall County Cottage Builds or Ontario Lead Networks be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or use — arising out of or related to your use of this website or any services provided through referrals made by this site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Third-Party Contractors

All construction and renovation work is performed by independent third-party contractors. County Cottage Builds and Ontario Lead Networks do not control, supervise, employ, or warrant the quality, safety, licensing, insurance status, or any other aspect of referred contractors. Users are responsible for verifying contractor credentials, references, insurance, and licensing before engaging their services. Any contract, payment, dispute, warranty, or remedy is between the homeowner and the contractor directly.

No Pricing Guarantees

We do not publish prices, estimates or cost ranges for construction work, and nothing on this site should be read as a quote. Only a contractor who has assessed your property can quote your project.

Permits, Codes and Approvals

Building permit requirements, zoning provisions, shoreline and conservation approvals and heritage rules vary by property and by municipality, and they change. Any description of them on this site is general guidance only. Confirm what applies to your property with your municipality and your contractor.

Compensation Disclosure

We receive referral fees from contractors when homeowners are connected through this site. Homeowners are never charged, and the fee is not added to the price a homeowner is quoted.
